“Hello I’m Sophie Barne, I compete in Irish Dancing. I have been
competing for 7 years .I train for an hour and a half on a Monday and 2 hours
on a Saturday at the Shaftesbury Community Centre.
I have entered competitions in Swindon, Bristol, Wolverhampton,
Cardiff and Coventry. The next event I’m training for is in Cardiff.
I have won a lot of trophies and medals, I have won
16 trophies and 60 medals and a sash. We do many displays which I really
enjoy!
I work with two teachers one on a Monday and one on a Tuesday.
I really enjoy Irish Dancing, it is the best thing I have
ever done because it gives me a challenge. There are many training, practice
and rehearsal session to make sure we do our best at the displays
and competitions."
